I. Use of the Website

1. Scope of Data Processing
When you visit this website, the following data is transmitted to the web server and stored in a log file:

  • IP address

  • Date and time of each visit to a page on the website

  • Amount of data transferred to your device

  • files downloaded from the website

  • URL of the page or website from which you arrived at our website

  • The browser you are using (type and version)

  • The operating system you use (type and version)

2. Purposes of Data Processing

Processing this data is necessary to display the website's content optimally on your device. In addition, this data is needed to evaluate system security and stability.

3. Legal Basis for Data Processing

This data is processed in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR based on the aforementioned legitimate interest in being able to display the website to you and track IT attacks. Under no circumstances do we use the collected data for the purpose of identifying you personally.

4. Retention Period

Log data is stored for seven days and then deleted, unless it must be retained for a longer period on an exceptional basis to investigate an identified attack.

 

II. Your Rights as a Data Subject

The following rights may be restricted by the duty of client confidentiality or the notaries’ duty of confidentiality under Article 23 of the GDPR in conjunction with Section 29 of the BDSG. Provided there is no conflict with the client-notary relationship, you have the following rights:

1. Right to Information

You have the right to request, free of charge, information regarding whether data concerning you is being processed and, if so, what personal data is being processed (Art. 15 GDPR). You may submit this request again within a reasonable timeframe. You also have the right to receive a copy of your data that is being processed.

2. Right to Rectification

Furthermore, pursuant to Article 16 of the GDPR, you have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. In addition, you have the right to request that incomplete personal data concerning you be completed, taking into account the purposes of the processing.

3. Right to Erasure

Under the conditions set forth in Article 17 of the GDPR, you may request the erasure of your data.

4. Right to Restriction

You have the right to request the restriction of processing if the conditions set forth in Article 18 of the GDPR are met. This is the case, for example, if the processing of your data is no longer necessary for the specified purposes, but you need it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims. If the processing of your data is restricted, such data – apart from storage – may only be processed with your consent or in the specific cases listed in Article 18(2) of the GDPR.

5. Right to Data Portability

To the extent that data you have provided is processed using automated means on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) or (a) of the GDPR, you may, subject to the conditions set forth in Article 20 of the GDPR, request that this data be provided to you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. In this case, you may also request that this data be transferred to another controller.

6. Right of Withdrawal

If your data is processed based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time with future effect (Art. 7(3) of the GDPR).

7. Right to Object

If your data is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest that prevails (Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), you also have the right to object if your interests in opposing the data processing, for reasons arising from your particular situation, outweigh the interests in processing. If you object, please provide the reasons for your objection to the data processing.
